Salaar box office collection day 5: Prabhas film, grosses over ₹400 crore

Prabhas-starrer 'Salaar Part 1: Ceasefire' hit theaters on December 22 and has been creating significant impact at the box office since then. Not only did it dominate its opening weekend, but it also performed exceptionally well on Monday. The Christmas holiday had a helping hand in box office performance.

According to early estimates from industry tracker Sacnilk, as of Tuesday, Salaar has collected a net total of Rs 18.64 crore in India for all languages, bringing its domestic earnings to an impressive Rs 274.04 crore

On the global stage, Salaar has been a massive success,`grossing an astounding Rs 391.5 crore. The film kicked off its box office journey with an outstanding Rs 90.7 crore on Friday, surpassing Shah Rukh Khan's 'Jawan,' which earned Rs 89.5 crore on its opening day. Despite a 37 percent dip in collections on Saturday (Rs 56.35 crore), Salaar bounced back on Sunday with a more than 13 percent increase, reaching Rs 64.07 crore.

Monday saw the winning streak continue, as Salaar outperformed 'Jawan' with collections of Rs 46.3 crore compared to SRK's film, which earned Rs 39.1 crore.

Prabhas faced a series of high-profile flops after 'Baahubali.' Thus, Salaar marks a resounding comeback for this rebel star. Despite facing tough competition from Rajkumar Hirani's SRK-starrer 'Dunki,' Salaar is on the brink of crossing the Rs 400 crore mark globally and is expected to beat the Rs 500 crore collection in the coming days.

From the director of the box office hit 'KGF,' Prashanth Neel, Salaar also features Prithviraj Sukumaran, Shruti Haasan, Jagapathi Babu in pivotal roles.
